讲座题目:Current Research in Automated Vehicles: Parking Efficiency, Safety/Efficiency Trade-offs for Traffic-Flow, and Turning-Movement Capacity
主讲人:Scott Le Vine
讲座时间:2017年6月2日 上午10:00
讲座地点:九里校区4407B
内容简介:
In this seminar, Dr. Scott Le Vine (Asst Prof. at the State University of New York, with visiting affiliations at SWJTU and Imperial College London) will chair a series of three research presentations to showcase current studies on Vehicle Automation. The first study is on the prospective spatial efficiency gains from AV parking, based on the increased precision in maneuvering within a parking facility. The second one will then present research into optimizing the trade-off between capacity and efficiency for AV traffic streams, using a combination of synthetic data plus empirical analysis of both the NGSIM dataset and field-testing of emergency-braking maneuvers. At last, Dr.Le vine will present findings from a recent study of the traffic-flow properties of AVs making turning maneuvers at intersections, and initiate a discussion of questions relating to AVs in need of further research, in which the three speakers will take part in an open roundtable Q/A discussion.
