Call for Papers for
International Conference on Innovation and Supply Chain Management
Organized by ISCM Forum; co-organized by Southwest Jiaotong University, Tsinghua University, CAS, Keio University
Background
Due to the change of production and distribution environment in recent years, supply chain management (SCM) has also changed its research focus. From strategic viewpoint, risk management, competition power or evolution power of a supply chain are great concerns for sustainable development of supply chain. From the operational viewpoint, physical flow, information flow and cash flow should be integrated or coordinated to create operation efficiency, and in addition, the interaction and constraints associated with these three flows should be studied in order to mitigate the supply chain risks. Furthermore, Industry4.0 and the extended version of the national strategy on manufacturing bring new changes and challenges to us who engaged in the research on innovation and supply chain management.
To exchange and disseminate the ideas of the strategic consideration on SCM, including manufacturing and logistics, we have organized the 1st international workshop on the institutional supply chain (ISCM) in 2006, and published a special issue, the “Institutional Perspective on Supply Chain Management”, in the International Journal of Production Economics. The 2nd international workshop on the ISCM was organized in Xi’an Jiaotong University, with supports from Tsinghua University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Keio University, Japan Industrial Management Association, Chinese Academy of Science, and Chinese Association of Management Science in Japan. And the special issue “Supply Chain Risk Management” was published on the International Journal of Production Economics.
This year, we decided to organize the 4rd workshop on ISCM (Innovation and Supply Chain Management), at beautiful island Okinawa. Two main topics of the workshop include (1) innovation management and (2) supply chain management. We are seeking papers in three perspectives: (1) national and global-level issues in R&D and global supply chain management, (2) techniques and principles on the innovation management and supply chain management, (3) historical co-evolution of innovation and supply chain management. And the ISCM includes all kinds of methodologies such as modeling, optimization, algorithms, simulation, case studies, event studies and industrial survey, to identify problems and solve the problems. Those papers which related to the Industry 4.0, Made in China 2025, Society 5.0, Advanced Manufacturing Partnership will be published in the special issue “Industry 4.0 and Production Economics” of the journal IJPE (International Journal of Production Economics, SCI, IF:4.052)
