From September 11 to 12, 2016, Ye
Xin, a graduate student majoring in safety engineering (guided by Ma Jian)
attended the 2016 International Conference of Public Safety Science and
Technology held in Beijing. The 2016 International Conference of Public Safety
Science and Technology was jointly organized by the China Association for
Public Safety (CAPS), Public Safety Institute at Tsinghua University and
Hospital of the Armed Police Contingents.
In the morning of September 11, Ye
Xin attended the opening ceremony of the conference. Zhou Shouwei, vice
president of the China Association of Science and Technology, who is also an
academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Shan Chunchang, head of
emergency management expert group of the State Council, made a speech,
respectively. On the first day of the theme report link, the State
Administration of Work Safety, Public Safety Institute of Tsinghua University,
Hospital of the Armed Police Contingents, Chinese Academy of Meteorological
Sciences, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, China National Offshore
Oil Corporation, ZTE and other organizations as well as experts and scholars
from the United States, Britain, Japan, Holland, Australia, Israel and other
countries discussed and made excellent speeches on issues about risk assessment
and control, monitoring and alerting, scientific rescue, personal protection
and emergency equipment and the new progress, new technologies and new ideas of
other related fields.
Ye Xin presented the research paper entitled
”A subway fire safety assessment
method based on the D-S theory” on the
second day of the conference in the youth special venue. Experts participating
in the conference had strong interests in this assessment method and gave
valuable comments and suggestions.
