On March 15, Shaanxi Railway Logistics Group and Southwest Jiaotong University held an unveiling ceremony for the joint laboratory of intelligent logistics application technology, intelligent train control laboratory and post-doctoral innovation base at the International Conference Center in Xixian New Area. Zhu Jianmei, Vice President of Southwest Jiaotong University, Chen Hui, deputy director of the management committee of Xixian New Area, Shang Jianxuan, member of the Party committee member and vice general manager of Shaanxi Coal Group, Zhao Guozhi, secretary of the Party committee and chairman of Shaanxi Railway Logistics Group, Yang Haidong, secretary of the Party committee and president of Casco Signal Company, Gan Ling, secretary of the Party committee of our college, Tang Youhua, vice president of our college and other related people attended the unveiling ceremony.

At the unveiling ceremony, Chen Hui delivered a speech on behalf of the Party working committee and the management committee of Xixian New Area. He pointed out that Xixian New Area is China’s first state-level new area with the theme of innovative urban development. Phase I of the key laboratory of intelligent train control has been completed in advance in the young entrepreneur park in the energy finance and trade zone. In the next step, Xixian New Area will continue to optimize the investment environment and improve service quality. Take this unveiling ceremony as a new starting point, Xixian New Area will develop rapidly in Xixian. He hopes that the joint laboratory of intelligent logistics application technology and the intelligent train control laboratory will become state key laboratories with advanced technology, industry influence.

Zhu Jianmei, vice president of our university, pointed out that the establishment of the "two laboratories and one base" is the result of deep cooperation among industry, university and research, and it also responds the national policy which was proposed in the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan. The construction of the joint laboratory and base will be guided by the strategic development needs of Shaanxi Railway Logistics. Forward-looking research and development on new technologies and new applications of “Intelligent Railway and Intelligent Logistics” will be carried out to serve the sustainable development of Shaanxi Railway Logistics. The joint laboratory and base will surely become a first-class research platform for new intelligent railway logistics technology and a training base for innovative talents. It will provide new experience for school-enterprise cooperation in cultivating high-level talents. It will also make contributions on the process of building an innovative country.

Zhao Guozhi, chairman of Shaanxi Railway Logistics Group, gave a speech on "Building a Modern Circulation System to Support a New Pattern of Dual Circulation Development". He expounded upon "3+2" strategic positioning, "221" development vision and "1255" phase goals of the railway logistics group. Under the development of the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan, Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the spirit of his important speech in Shaanxi will be transformed into a powerful driving force to promote the pilot reform of railway marketization. The Railway Logistics Group will promote higher-quality development with the courage of a pioneer, build a "dual wisdom" enterprise with the mission of marching ahead, promote transportation quality and efficiency with the attitude of a leader, deepen the sharing of development results with the responsibility of the leader and implement the stage development goals with the responsibility of being a waver. He pointed out that the Railway Logistics Group, Southwest Jiaotong University and Casco Signal Company are synergy and integration of functions and resource advantages in different social divisions of labor in production, scientific research and education. The Railway Logistics Group will take the establishment of a joint laboratory as a new starting point, combine the rich industry resources of the Railway Logistics Group, the first-class innovation team of Southwest Jiaotong University and the advanced core technology of Casco Signal Company together, take the national strategic demand as the lead to gather the development needs of industries, and integrate various innovative resources to carry out all-round cooperation in railway intelligent control, intelligent detection, intelligent transportation, intelligent logistics and other fields. The Railway Logistics Group will strive to break through common key technologies and build a national laboratory with a high degree of integration of transportation and logistics to build a new development pattern, further strengthen the cooperation and innovation, optimize system mechanisms and scientific research models and organize the implementation of major tasks. The Railway Logistics Group will strive for more breakthroughs in key core technologies, promote laboratory construction to a new level, lead the development of railway science and technology and make greater contributions on the high-quality development of Shaanxi Coal, Xixian, Shaanxi and the country.
